Telangana to set up private universities in the state
A three hour Cabinet meeting held at the Secretariat approved the long-pending proposal to set up private universities.
The Telangana Cabinet on Saturday approved the long pending proposal to set up private universities in the state. A cabinet sub-committee headed by Deputy CM and education minister Kadiam Srihari has been constituted to finalise the modalities of setting up private universities.
There have been reports that Reliance Group has expressed its willingness to set up a huge campus in the city outskirts. The campus, spread over 2000 to 3000 acres would offer education from kindergarten to post graduate level at par with international standards. The Cabinet meeting was held ahead of the Assembly session starting on December 16.
