We will go on with Jallikkattu: Director V Gowthaman
Gowthaman said he is ready to face any issues for conducting Jallikkattu.
Tamil film director and actor V Gowthaman said despite ban by the Supreme Court they will conduct Jallikkattu (bull riding) in Tamil Nadu. He was visiting Alanganallur, Madurai, a usual place for conducting Jallikkattu.
The real intention behind banning Jallikkattu was to destroy the business of selling domestic cows and bulls, he told the media.
He also said he is ready to face any problem that may arise for trying to conduct Jallikkattu.
The colors used during Holi festival are injurious to eyes and skin. Why no one is ready to ban it, asked Gowthaman.
The Supreme Court of India has banned performance of Jallikkattu after a case filed by the Animal Welfare Board of India.
