Youth is biggest strength, will carry India to new heights: PM Modi in Kanpur rally
Despite the President of the country telling them to do their job and let Parliament function, they continued to disrupt Parliament, says Modi.
Addressing a Parivartan Rally in Kanpur in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said youth is the biggest strength of the nation and will carry India to a new heights. This is the sixth such rally addressed by Modi in the state.
"If the youth of Uttar Pradesh come together, then nothing can stop India from progressing. Countries with youthful populations progress at a much faster pace.India has a majority of its population under the age of 35 and this will increase further. Our youth is our biggest strength and will carry India to new heights," PM Modi said, according to a report in NDTV.
Taking a jibe at Congress party for disrupting in the winter session of Parliament, PM Modi said, "Despite the President of the country telling them to do their job and let Parliament function, they continued to disrupt Parliament."
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi bragged, "Today, you have a government at the Centre which is dedicated to the poor of this country. We are fighting black money and corruption. We are doing all we can to make a better India. Our agenda is stop corruption, stop black money. But others have an agenda of 'Stop Parliament'."
"For the first time, the country has seen a government dedicated to punish the corrupt.The opposition parties were seen protecting the corrupt," PM added.
Folowing the address, the PM will also unveil a a clutch of skill development initiatives aimed at skilling unemployed youth and also lay the foundation stone of the Indian Institute of Skills .
An official in Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship said, "Apart from launching 31 Kaushal Kendras which will serve as skill centres and target mainly unemployed youth for training purposes, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate an exhibition named Kaushal Mahotsav."
"The PM will also lay the foundation stone for the Indian Institute of Skills in Kanpur which will focus on providing industrial training," the official added.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday attacked BJP and urged people not to vote for the BJP.
