Akshay Kumar sends out a heartfelt message about the Bengaluru New Year incident
Following the Bangalore New Year incident, actor Akshay Kumar takes to social media to voice his opinion
If you’re not aware of the mass molestation of women in Bangalore, then you’re living under a rock. The incident has shaken the nation, and brought to light that women in India are not safe, even while surrounded by police.
Earlier this morning, actor Akshay Kumar took to his Facebook page, and shared a video speaking openly about what he felt. His post read – "The Bangalore incident makes me feel we are evolving backward, from humans to animals, rather beasts cause even animals are better! Truly shameful!"
Akshay Kumar, who is a father to a 3-year-old girl, said that if a community doesn’t respect its women, they cannot be human. He also went on to say that a woman’s clothes are not skimpy but it’s a person’s mentality that’s hit rock bottom.
The Rustom actor further warned these people to stay guard because if the women of India take a stand, things won’t be the same.
He also gave advice to the girls not to think of themselves as the weaker sex and informed that there are small techniques available in martial arts to teach these molesters a lesson. He said, “You don’t have to get scared, but you have to be alert and learn self-defence. And the next time someone passes remarks about their clothes, tell them to mind their own business. Thank you. Jai Hind.”
