Bhansali assaulted on Padmavati set: Ram Gopal Varma slams Modi, film makers demand action
Bhansali, who was shooting his new film in Jaipur's Jaigarh Fort, was slapped and his hair was pulled by the activists of Rajput Karni Sena alleging that the film distorts history.
The Film industry has come together to condemn the vicious assault on Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the sets of his directorial venture Padmavati in Jaipur on Friday.
Bhansali, who was shooting his new film in Jaipur's Jaigarh Fort, was slapped and his hair was pulled by the activists of Rajput Karni Sena alleging that the film distorts history. Members of the Rajput Karni Sena stormed the film's sets and vandalised the equipment.
While India's top film personalities have said they were horrified and outraged at the assault and took to social media to express their anger and concerns over the incident.
