Congress backs DMK protest demonstration on lifting of Jallikkattu ban
DMK cheif MK Stalin requested all parties and outfits to participate in the protest for lifting of jallikkattu ban.
DMK has planned to conduct a protest demonstration on lifting of jallikkattu ban on 3rd January at Alaganallur, Madurai district. Tamil Nadu Congress leadership has expressed their support to DMK protest. Congress has alleged that the BJP government is taking double standard on the issue.
Earlier, DMK chief MK Stalin has said he will lead a protest in Alanganallur on 3rd January demanding the central government to take action to lift ban on jallikkattu so that the bull-taming sport can be held during the Pongal festival.
Stalin said he had consulted general secretary K. Anbazhagan on the issue and decided to lead a protest demonstration. He also requested all the parties and outfits to participate in the protest.
