Journalist shot dead in Bihar
Brij Kishor, a journalist with Dainik Jagran newspaper was killed by unidentified assailants in Bihar.
Brij Kishor, a journalist with Dainik Jagran newspaper was killed on Tuesday by unidentified assailants persons in Bihar. According to ANI, the incident took place in Samastipur district of Bihar. Kishor's murder marks the second such incident reported from Bihar. Rajdeo Ranjan, Bureau Chief of leading Hindi daily, Hindustan was also murdered on July 2016 in Siwan town in Bihar, only half a km away from Town police station.
Two journalists were killed in India in 2016, and about 27 journalists were murdered in the country since 1992, according to the figures released by Committee to Protect Journalists, a leading global NGO which monitors attacks on journalists.
