Aamir Khan's latest film Dangal has raked in Rs 284.69 crore in the box office and its international box office figures stand close to Rs 140 crore.

In its second weekend, it has collected Rs 18.59 crore, Rs 23.07 crore, Rs 32.04 crore and Rs 13.45 crore in Weekend and Monday from the domestic market, taking the collection to Rs 284.69 crores.








Internationally, till Sunday the film raked in $ 20.82 million [₹ 141.60 cr].

The film had already crossed Rs 100 crore mark in the first three days of its release on Friday.


Bollywood trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, tweeted, “#Dangal hits CENTURY… Crosses ₹ 100 cr mark… Sun biz was HUMONGOUS… Smashing RECORDS… Setting new BENCHMARKS…”

The film is based on the life of Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his daughters - Geeta and Babita - in wrestling. The Phogat sisters won India's first medals in female wrestling at the 2010 Commonwealth Games.

The biographical sports drama film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari. It stars Aamir Khan as Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari.

The music for Dangal was composed by Pritam, while the lyrics were written by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Kripa Shankar Bishnoi, a coach with the Indian women's wrestling team, trained Aamir Khan and the entire crew for the wrestling sequences.
