Deepa Jayakumar plans for protest walk seeking justice on Jayalalithaa’s death

‘The party and regime with you; people and cadres with us’ is the slogan Deepa Jayakumar, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalithaa’s niece, going to use in her protest walk seeking justice on Jaya’s death.

After Sasikala Natarajan took over as the AIADMK General Secretary, many are of the opinion that she was elected by a group of MLAs, MPs and other ministers counting only 1500 members. Around 75% of party cadres couldn’t vote, which shows the support for Deepa inside AIADMK, claims Deepa supporters.

Sasikala may have party leadership, office, party logo and flag, but people and cadres are with Deepa. So, she has decided to start a protest walk seeking support from party members.

Deepa is said to be thinking about starting a new party. She has also plans to contest the elections in Chennai and RK Nagar, said a Deepa supporter.
