About five people were injured when unidentified gunmen stormed the Trinamool Congress office and opened fire on workers in Kharagpur,West Bengal on Wednesday.

The state has been simmering with tension in recent weeks, leading to bloody attacks between TMC and BJP workers, following the arrest leader of Trinamool Congress parliamentary party Sudip Bandyopadhyay on January 3 by the CBI for his alleged role in RoseValley chit fund scam.
West Bengal Chief minister Mamata Banerjee has accused the Centre of hunting down TMC MP’s. She alleged that Prime Minister Modi is using the “CBI, ED, IT to scare those who raise voice against demonetisation.
