Raees vs Kaabil: Hrithik Roshan tweets to Shah Rukh Khan as a Student

On the day of Bollywood's Clash of Titans with Raees and Kaabil hitting the theatres today, Hrithik Roshan handled the conflict with grace with his tweet to Shah Rukh Khan.

In a tweet, Hrithik said, "Today as a mentor I am sure you will inspire me again with Raees and as a student, I hope you are proud of me with Kaabil."

Amid the controversy surrounding the release of movies, Hrithik had repeatedly maintained that his friendship with SRK will survive Raees vs Kaabil. With the kind gesture, SRK tweeted back his best wishes for the film.

Shah Rukh Khan, 51, and Hrithik Roshan, 43, first worked together in 1995 film Karan Arjun, on which Hrithik served as assistant director to his father Rakesh Roshan. SRK and Hrithik later co-starred in Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

Some weekends ago, Karan Arjun co-star Salman Khan tweeted this:

The two stars have always maintained a good equation, on and off screen.

The controversy stirred when it appeared that Shah Rukh Khan's film was deliberately rescheduling itself to match
Kaabil
's date. It backed down from a clash with Salman's Sultan last July and picked January 26, already booked by Hrithik Roshan's film. When Kaabil announced it would advance itself to the day before, Raees said it would do the same. For a while, a few hours separated the first shows of the films with Raees slated for the morning and Kaabil for the evening. Then, Kaabil revised it's time as well and the movies released in the same slot today.

Rakesh Roshan, who is the producer of Kaabil has been quite vocal about the clash. At a special screening of his son's film, the producer was asked whether he will be watching Raees as it is releasing on the same day. But he said: "No, I will watch Kaabil once again."
