Manmohan Singh is a failed economist, says Venkaiah Naidu
Demonestisation is like chemotherapy to cure the cancer of black money, says Venkaiah Naidu.
Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu in an interview to The Economic Times said the former prime minister Manmohan Singh is a failed economist, a failed finance minister and a failed prime minister.
Naidu was replying to a question on the comment by Singh about demonetization, which the latter termed as monumental mismanagement.
The country is facing the problem of black money due to Singh’s government and his party’s monumental mismanagement. We are in this mess because of them, said Naidu.
He added that BJP is expanding its base in the country, citing recent elections in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal and Tripura. The prime minister is gaining more popularity after demonetization and people think that it is a big transformation the country needs right now.
When asked about the opposition linking demonetization to upcoming UP elections, Naidu said the demonetization was not a sudden move, but it was always on the PM’s agenda.
