In an appalling circumstance, Veteran actor Om Puri has passed away at the age of 66.

According to the reports, the actor suffered a massive heart attack early on Friday morning and succumbed to it.

His mortal remains are at his residence and his old friends and colleagues from the film industry have reached his home to pay their last respects.

The actor has appeared in mainstream Bollywood cinema as well as Pakistani, British and Hollywood films. The actor has received an OBE as well as Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India. He had also been recognized by British Film Industry for his services and in 2009 received Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award.


Some of his best works were Arohan, Ardh Satya, My Son the Fanatic (British), etc. Some of his recent films include Dabanng, Singh is King, Don
etc. He would be seen in Tube Light in 2017.
