Among the total of 1,145 candidates are in fray for election, Congress has nominated candidates for 117 seats while AAP is set to battle for 112 seats.

With SAD, Congress and AAp are set for battle in Punjab, Apna Punjab Party (APP) and All India Trinamool Congress also fielded its candidates for state elections.

Among the total of 1,145 candidates are in fray for election, Congress has nominated candidates for 117 seats while AAP is set to battle for 112 seats. The ruling SAD and its ally BJP have fielded candidates on 117 seats, with 94 and 23 nominations respectively.

Meanwhile, Former AAP leader Sucha Singh Chhotepur led Apna Punjab Party (APP) nominated for 77 seats and SAD (Amritsar) fielded candidates on 54 seats, strengthening the battle to challenge Badal’s decade-long rule in the state.

Reports also said BSP has 111 candidates and All India Trinamool Congress has 20 contestants for assembly polls.
