Rahul Gandhi must be on drugs: Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal

Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Monday attacked Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, saying he must be on drugs.

Kaur’s remarks came in connection to Gandhi’s allegation that 70 per cent of the youth across Punjab are under the influence of addiction.

“Ye Rahul Gandhi, mujhe lagta hai khud sabse zyada nashe karte honge jo inhe Punjab ke 70% log nashedi lagte hain,” she told media.

Kaur added that the Congress Party should refrain from maligning the image of Punjab’s youth.

Rahul Gandhi has been criticising the Shiromani Akali Dal’s handling of the drug menace in poll-bound Punjab. The Parkash Singh Badal government of Punjab, which is gearing up for elections on February 4, has rejected claims that it has neglected the drug problem.

Harsimrat Kaur is the wife of Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal and union minister for food processing.
