Actor Shah Rukh Khan has gone on a promotion spree for his upcoming film, Raees. Yesterday, the actor left on a train journey from Mumbai to Delhi on board the August Kranti Express and has now reached the capital.
SRK took to his Twitter handle to inform his fans, “Aa raha hoon main” and tweeted extensively, each time he reached and left from a station.
While all the gaga was going on about the film and King Khan, on Monday night, tragedy struck on Vadodara station when a fan suffered a cardiac arrest and two policemen were injured in the stampede at occurred after the train left.
The deceased is a local politician, Farheed Khan Pathan, of the Samajwadi Party, who arrived at the railway platform with his wife and daughter to catch a glimpse of the actor and meet his relative, a journalist who was also on board the same train, covering the promotion.
After the incident occurred, SRK was saddened by the incident. After reaching Delhi, he spoke to a leading entertainment portal and expressed his grief. He said, “We started the journey thinking we all will travel, spend time with each other. When one of your own loses someone on a trip like this, it saddens us all.”
Giving a background of the incident, the actor said, “One of our colleagues was travelling with us. Her uncle came down to see her at Baroda. He suffered a cardiac arrest. It was really unfortunate.”
“We have some of our people with the family members there. Hopefully, God will bless her soon.”
