A Special CBI court in Delhi on Tuesday framed charges against Indrani Mukerjea, Media baron Peter Mukerjea and Indrani's former husband Sanjeev Khanna in connection with the murder of Sheena Bora.

The prime accused Indrani and Peter have been charged with murder and criminal conspiracy, media reports said. The trail on this case to begin in Special CBI Court from February 1.

According to CBI's charge-sheet, the murder was the fallout of a financial dispute in the family and the agency alleges Sheena was strangled in a car in Mumbai on April 2012 by her mother Indrani, Sanjeev Khanna and her former driver Shyamvar Rai.

The trio was arrested in August 2015 after the CBI and Peter, for his alleged role in the murder plot, was arrested on 19 November last year.

Earlier, former Star News president Ravina Raj Kohli’s statement in a CBI court suggested the money parked in her name as motive for Sheena’s murder.
