Two Indian citizens were among 39 killed in mass shooting at Istanbul's nightclub attack the External Affairs Ministry said on Sunday evening. The deceased Indians are identified as Abis Hasn Rizvi, son of former Rajya Sabha member of Parliament and noted builder of Bandra in Mumbai Akhtar Hasan Rizvi and Khushi Shah from Gujarat.

The victims are Mr. Abis Rizvi son of former Rajya Sabha MP and Ms. Khushi Shah from Gujarat. Abis Rizvi was CEO of Rizvi Builders and had produced a number of films including the 2014 movie

A gunman dressed as Santa Claus opened fire on New Year revellers at a packed nightclub on the shores of Istanbul's Bosphorus waterway on Sunday killing at least 39 people. The two Indians are among 15 foreigners who have been killed. According to Turkey’s Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, 69 people, including 16 foreign nationals, were being treated at local hospitals.

Some 600 people were thought to have been inside when the gunman began shooting. Istanbul governor Vasip Sahin said the attacker had killed a police officer before entering the Reina nightclub in the Ortakoy area around 1.30 am local time.
