VVIP chopper scam: Non-bailable warrant issued against middleman Christian Michel
The Patiala trial court has set the next hearing date as February 22.
A Delhi court on Saturday issued a non-bailable warrant against the alleged middleman Christian Michel in the AgustaWestand case.
According to media reports, a summons against a company created by Michel and two of its directors who are accused in the case, has also been issued by the Patiala trial court and sets the next hearing date as February 22.
The summonses, according to a TOI report, were issued as the accused - M/s Media Exim Private Limited and its directors, R K Nanda and J B Subramaniyam - failed to appear before court today as they were supposed to per an order of last month.
The summonses were under Section 45 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. The next date of hearing is now scheduled for February 22.
Enforcement Directorate, in June last year, said Michel was one of three middlemen being probed in the case, apart from Guido Haschke and Carlo Gerosa. Further, the agencies have also notified an Interpol Red Corner Notice (RCN) or the global arrest warrant against him after court issued a non-bailable warrant against him.
