Best to ignore part time politician Priyanka Gandhi: BJP
Priyanka joined her brother Rahul Gandhi in Rae Bareli in attacking Prime Minister Modi over demonetization, saying it has only caused pain to the poor.
Soon after Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took on Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that the latter is outsider to Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday took a jibe at her stating that it's best to ignore a 'part time politician' who makes statements while being unaware of the nation's political developments.
Priyanka, in her debut campaign for the Assembly polls, joined her brother Rahul Gandhi in Rae Bareli in attacking Prime Minister Modi over demonetization, saying it has only caused pain to the poor.
"The part-time politicians and campaigners of Congress do not try to understand the real impact of demonetization by making irresponsible statements. demonetization has only affected those who have amassed black money," BJP leader S Prakash said.
He added: "Priyanka Gandhi comes once in a while during election periods and makes statements without even studying what really happened in the past. She is making comments unaware of the political developments, which I think is best to ignore."
Addressing a rally Raebareli, Priyanka said: “PM Modi said Varanasi has adopted him and since he is the son of U.P., he will develop U.P. I ask, does U.P. need to adopt an outsider? Does U.P. not have youth who are capable of developing it.”
Priyanka also hailed her brother and UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav as the true sons of the soil. “They have U.P. in their hearts and lives. U.P. does not need any outsider. The youth here is capable of developing U.P. Here, any youth can become the leader,” Priyanka said.
