BJP worker hacked to death in Kerala

The Thrissur unit of BJP called for a strike on Monday after one of its workers in Kerala was reportedly hacked to death at a local temple festival  in Mukkattukara of the district on late Sunday night. The BJP has blamed the ruling CPM for the attack.

Though the 20-year-old youth was rushed to hospital, his life could not be saved. Another BJP worker, Mithun, is undergoing treatment.

This comes a month after a BJP worker named Santhosh was attacked and killed outside his home in Kannur district. The 52-year-old was alone at home when he was attacked by a gang of unidentified men last month. The BJP blamed the CPM for that incident as well.
