Raees vs Kaabil box office collection: Shah Rukh Khan film leads the race, crosses Rs 100 cr mark
Raees and Kaabil have not got equal screen shares. On the day of the release, the makers of Kaabil came to know that ratio changed to 60:40.
Shah Rukh Khan's latest flick "Raees" collected Rs 7.5 crore on Monday and Rs 8.27 crore on Tuesday, taking the total to over Rs 109.01 crore while Hrithik Roshan-starrer "Kaabil" has earned Rs 6.10 crore on Day 7 taking the total collections to Rs 79.60 crore.
On Monday, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#Raees Wed 20.42 cr, Thu 26.30 cr, Fri 13.11 cr, Sat 15.61 cr, Sun 17.80 cr. Total: ₹ 93.24 cr. India biz... Weekdays are crucial!
On Sunday, he tweeted: “#Raees is EXCELLENT… Wed 20.42 cr, Thu 26.30 cr, Fri 13.11 cr, Sat 15.61 cr. Total: ₹ 75.44 cr. India biz.”
On Friday, the film had grossed Rs 59.83. The film, which was released on 2700 screens, had collected Rs 20.42 crore on the opening day.
Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam-starrer 'Kaabil' had collected Rs 15.05 crore on its first Sunday taking the total five-day collections to Rs 69.53 Cr.
The Sanjay Gupta film collected Rs 15.61 crore on Saturday. The film has just 40 percent screens in comparison to Shah Rukh Khan's 'Raees' and both films were released on same day, January 25. 'Kaabil' directed by Sanjay Gupta was shot on a tight schedule of 60 days.
So far, the film has received a positive response from critics. It directed by Sanjay Gupta, written by Vijay Kumar Mishra, produced by Rakesh Roshan under his banner FilmKraft Productions.
Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama gave the movie 4 out of 5 stars and wrote, "On the whole, KAABIL is gripping, gut-wrenching and is likely to stay with you for a long time."
