As Rajkumar Hirani started shooting Sanjay Dutt's biopic, Bollywood is expecting a movie that will see Hirani’s maximum effort to convert the life of his friend into the silver screen.

However, on the other side, it is Ranbir Kapoor who is doing everything possible to do full justice to the project, taking on Dutt’s looks for the movie.

Latest pictures from the movie set surfaced on social media, revealing a new Ranbir dressed in a baggy shirt, a waist-coat and dark trousers, resembling Sanjay Dutt back in the 90s.

Reports say Hirani’s new film deals with Sanjay's young days, focusing on his relation with his father Sunil Dutt, his struggles in life when he lost his mother and his many affairs, among others.

For this movie, "“Ranbir has gained more than 13 kg now, which is all muscle and no fat. His waistline has gone down by an inch and he has been losing fat while building up muscle. Ranbir is on an hour-and-a-half of intense workout sessions,” his fitness trainer Kunal Gir was quoted as saying.

Currently being shot in Mumbai’s Kamal Amrohi Studio, the movie will see Paresh Rawal playing the role of Sunil Dutt, while Manisha Koirala as Nargis, Sanju baba's mom.
