In a step to promote innovation, easing visa requirements and booting air connectivity, India and Rwanda on Monday signed MoUs during Vice President Hamid Ansari's visit to the East African country.

Rwanda Air will start services to India in the coming months and both countries will mutually exempt visa requirements for diplomatic and official passport holders. The two countries will also set up an entrepreneurship development centre in Kigali.

Rwanda Prime Minister Anastase Murekezi said the three MoUs will boost economic and business ties.

“We have five years of fruitful bilateral relationship. Rwanda and India share important ties and we are committed to make this relationship grow stronger,” Mukezi said.

The MoUs were been signed during vice-president Hamid Ansari's five-day tour to Rwanda and Uganda.
