Jayalalithaa was brought dead, says former Apollo Chennai doctor

With Tamil Nadu witnessing the succession battle in the AIADMK between O Panneerselvam and VK Sasikala, a doctor who used to work at Chennai's Apollo Hospital has revealed that deceased AIADMK general secretary J. Jayalalithaa was brought dead to the hospital.

Doctor Ramaseetha said she was on duty at the emergency section the day when Jayalalithaa was brought into the hospital, said a report in Asianet News Malayalam

.

Asianet reported that Dr Ramaseetha said all this at a public meeting in Chennai. The doctor said Jayalalitha didn't have the pulse when she was brought in. Despite this, the hospital shifted her to the intensive care unit, she said.

Jayalalithaa's death was reported almost three months after this incident. There were reports in the interregnum that she was recovering with Apollo Hospitals even releasing the bulletins on her health on a regular basis.

The doctor also indicated that within 20 days of Jayalalithaa's admission at Apollo, the arrangements for her burial had begun near the MGR memorial along the Marina Beach.

Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo on September 22, 2016.  From that day on, nobody was allowed to see her or talk to her except current AIADMK general secretary VK Sasikala.
