Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan walks the talk: Says he has fought RSS all his life, will continue to do so

In a strong response to forces that threatened to stop him from attending a rally in Mangaluru, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said the RSS had always believed in dividing people on communal grounds.

Kerala CM took part in a communal harmony rally of the CPM here, ignoring Sangh Parivar’s threat to block Vijayan from visiting Mangaluru over alleged killings of BJP/RSS activists in Kannur after Vijayan assumed office in May last year.

“The RSS had always believed in dividing people on communal grounds just like Hitler eliminated Jew, the RSS has been targeting the minorities and communists in our country,” he said.

Stating that he was not airdropped to the post of Kerala chief minister, he said: “I am not a person who doesn't know you - the RSS - directly. My political activism until now has proceeded by seeing and knowing you closely.”

Earlier, welcoming Kerala CM,  Karnataka Minister for Food and Civil Supplies UT Khader said none can prevent the Vijayan from visiting Mangaluru.

“We will ensure that the visit takes place and none is going to do anything to prevent him going ahead with it. All the security arrangements will be in place," he said.

In December, Madhya Pradesh police also ended up in a controversy for not allowing  Pinarayi Vijayan to attend a meeting in Bhopal.

“Pinarayi Vijayan had been invited to a reception hosted by various Malayali organisations in Bhopal on December 10. However, as he was leaving for the meeting, he was advised by police officials not to proceed as some RSS elements were expected to demonstrate outside,” the a CPI (M) statement then said.
