West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress convenor Mamata Banerjee slammed the Union Budget 2017 presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and said the document was full of "baseless and clueless".Trinamool stayed away from the first two days of Parliament session as a mark of protest against Centre's demonetisation drive said the Budget was a "jugglery of numbers".

Mamata took to Twitter as Jaitley was proceeding with his Budget speech, and called it a "controversial" one.










“A controversial #Budget2017 which is clueless, useless, baseless, missionless and actionless. Heartless,” she tweeted.

“No roadmap for the country or the future from a government that has lost all its credibility,” Mamata added. During his speech Jaitley claimed that a double-digit inflation has been controlled and sluggish growth replaced by high growth.
