Narendra Modi, are you the Prime Minister of thieves?: Uddhav Thackeray
Criticising the narrative of the BJP and the strict rules surrounding it, Thackeray remarked that if the people of this country were thieves then Prime Minister Narendra Modi was Prime Minister of thieves.
Terming the demonetisation drive as a man-made disaster, Shiv Sena chief Uddav Thackeray tore down BJP's note ban policy.Criticising the narrative of the BJP and the strict rules surrounding it, Thackeray remarked that if the people of this country were thieves then Prime Minister Narendra Modi was Prime Minister of thieves.
Thackeray added that with the demonetisation drive, the BJP and the Prime Minister question the integrity of the farmers, life long savings of women and accused everyone of being thieves. The long-term ally of BJP, Shiv Sena had decided to quit the alliance ahead of Mumbai civic polls and fight alone in the elections.
Earlier Thackeray had shot down BJP’s claim that it was a friendly match between the Shiv Sena. Uddhav Thackeray slammed BJP president Amit Shah and said the upcoming electoral battles are no “friendly matches” and the BJP has lost a “staunch supporter” who backed Prime Minister Narendra Modi even after the Gujarat riots.
"I want to tell Amit Shah this is no friendly match now. You have lost one who has always backed you and has been your staunch supporter. A supporter who backed (PM Narendra) Modi after the Gujarat riots when everybody was against him,” Thackeray remarked in an election rally on Friday.
