On Sunday, he tweeted: “#Raees is EXCELLENT… Wed 20.42 cr, Thu 26.30 cr, Fri 13.11 cr, Sat 15.61 cr. Total: ₹ 75.44 cr. India biz.”
The film is a crime thriller film directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Gauri Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their banners Red Chillies Entertainment and Excel Entertainment. It also has Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in lead roles.
Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who is starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film, expressed her disappointment as the film is not being released in Pakistan.
"I am the first Pakistani actress who got the opportunity to work with Shah Rukh Khan as the main lead. But I feel that my success and fame has come under the evil eye due to which my film has not been able to release in Pakistan,” she had said.
