Sanjay Dutt faces camera after 4 years, begins shooting for Bhoomi in Agra
The film will mark Sanjay Dutt's comeback after his incarceration in Yerwada Jail for illegal possession of arms.
Sanjay Dutt has begun shooting for Omung Kumar's film 'Bhoomi', with the mahurat shot taken early Wednesday. The actor has committed to a film project after four years.The last time Sanjay Dutt faced the camera was in May 2013, for Rajkumar Hirani's PK.
The film will be shot in an old haveli in Bamrauli Katara, a village on the outskirts of the city, along with Taj Ganj streets and Mehtab Bagh across the river Yamuna.
Film production sources said the shooting will continue till mid-March. Omung, with his wife Vanita, arrived on Monday to finalise locations.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, the film will mark Sanjay Dutt's comeback after his incarceration in Yerwada Jail for illegal possession of arms. The film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari.
A unit hand said, "People were visibly overwhelmed when he walked in. His charisma and enthusiasm is still infectious. He was the first one to walk in today at 9.30 am. So, everyone who said he can't be punctual can eat their words."
