Some unidentified men abducted an employee of Kherki Duala toll plaza and thrashed him by around 20 people in Gurugram, Haryana on Thursday morning, following an argument over not allowing exemption to a vehicle.

According to a report in The Hindu, Assistant Plaza Manager Manoj Kumar was present at the toll when a SUV registered in Delhi reached the plaza and sought exemption from paying toll fee. The driver abused the attendant and Manoj and drove off, after the official refused the the exemption.


Later, the drive came back to the toll plaza around 11.30 am in the same SUV with other four people and allegedly kidnapped Kumar at gunpoint and threatened to kill him.

"They then stopped the car around 200 meters ahead of the toll plaza towards Delhi side and asked Kumar to get down. Soon, around 20 people gathered at the spot and started kicking and punching Kumar," said Kripal Singh, PRO of the toll plaza, according to Times of India report.

Assistant sub inspector Jagdish, who is investigating the case, said an FIR was registered against unidentified people under sections 147, 149 (rioting), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 365 (kidnapping), 506 (criminal intimidation), 283 (posing danger or creating obstruction in public way or line of navigation) of IPC.
