The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the BJP affiliated student wing, in coordination with the Delhi University Students' Union, organised a march inside the North Campus of Delhi University in the wake of the success of the massive rally by left-backed students and teachers.

The rally, named "Save DU" started from the Faculty of Arts and ended Khalsa College and Ramjas College.

Meanwhile, the commotion has spread to Punjab too as the ABVP held a Tiranga Yatra on the Punjab University campus.

On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party is also expected to hold a protest in Punjab's Jalandhar in support of Delhi University student and Kargil martyr's daughter Gurmehar Kaur.

ABVP had taken out a Tiranga March earlier "to save the nation" from Ramjas College to the Arts Faculty.

Meanwhile, two ABVP activists, who were nabbed for allegedly manhandling a group of AISA supporters, have been suspended from the party citing "indiscipline".

On February 21, ABVP through violent means forced the cancellation of a seminar at Ramjas College over the participation of JNU student leader Umar Khalid. ABVP had allegedly manhandled students, teachers and journalists which triggered widespread flak.
